Quick Update/Recap: February 2026

The Maner family moved to Laurel, MS in the summer of 2025 after living in Clinton, MS for 8 years. This transition was not easy, but we believe the Lord is leading us to another phase of life and ministry. Both Kim and I teach at Laurel Christian School. This year I am full time. Lord willing, we hope to increase ministry through Active Impact locally, nationally, and internationally in 2026. Possibly going part-time with Active Impact to eventually full time as the Lord leads and provides. There are great opportunities for continued basketball ministry outreach, outreach to the local Hispanic community, and international mission opportunities. Below are a few things currently scheduled for the summer of 2026:

• Basketball Outreach for community in Paris, TN (partnership with a local church): May 30th

• Tentative: Sport Ministry Outreach in GA 

• Guatemala Basketball Mission Trip with Christ Covenant Boys Varsity Team: June 20-27th

• VBS and possible Construction Team from Summerland Baptist Church to Guatemala: July 19-26

• We are currently working on scheduling basketball outreach for the summer as the Lord opens opportunities. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Please continue to pray for us as we seek the Lord’s guidance in all areas of Active Impact.  The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective–James 5:16b. Please put us in your daily prayers. Prayer is key to God’s work. Please pray for the following:

• Local (Laurel) opportunities to minister with the Hispanic population, basketball outreach, and the visual arts (Kim–not me:)

• Nationally and Internationally: basketball camp outreach through fruitful partnerships  (churches, schools, organizations)

• Possible coaches clinic this summer

• Educational outreach: professional development opportunities and those that are being planned

• Financial Provision: the Lord continues to provide financially as He sees fit

• Praise: I was really beginning to doubt if I had not been listening to the Lord and missed something. I believe the Lord was leading us away from a great community and school to move and pursue ministry through Active Impact. Things just seemed to not be going right, but God continued to assure us in these trials. Giving and support was not what I expected, but God…(two of my favorite words)

• Provided a $10K gift out of nowhere that doubled all the giving we had been receiving for the year! This was a great blessing from the Lord and His provision.

• The gifts that are given are consistent and by people sacrificially giving that believe in the mission/vision of Active in sharing the Gospel. 

• God showed me He is in control and that no gift is too small or too big because all is His. He is Sovereign. We have to be patient.

• God has opened doors for us (Kim and I)  through Active locally:

• Marriage and Family conference at Summerland Baptist Church

• Kim using her art background was invited by West Laurel Baptist to do an art workshop for some of their members

Our plan is to depend on the Lord whether part time to full time in the ministry. We are praying to be obedient to His calling and to be used as He sees fit.

As we step out in faith, we need your prayers and support to make this mission possible.

🙏 Prayer: Please pray for wisdom, provision, and the impact of this ministry. Pray for partnership opportunities and as we plan for the 2026 year. Pray that the Gospel is shared and that God is glorified!

• As we plan for the year—we have some great opportunities nationally and internationally with our basketball ministry–pray for these partnerships and that God is glorified. In addition the funds, staff, and volunteers needed.

💰 Financial Support: Active Impact International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we are raising financial support to launch this as a full-time ministry. Financial contributions will allow us to plan effectively. Our goal is to raise financial support for us to get started and continue to grow the ministry as the Lord leads–Lord willing, go full time by summer of 2026. At this time we realize this will  be as Paul a “tent ministry”--we will work and do Active Impact, until, Lord willing, Active Impact can be done full time. We realize this is all in the Lord’s timing. How the funds are being used:

• To implement projects that we can that are based on our mission/vision while not being full time

• My goal is to raise support in order to go full time as the Lord leads
