Ministry Prayer/Update

Keep in Prayer:

  • starting a basketball outreach in Laurel, MS—partnering with West Baptist Church Laurel

  • Kim is using her art gifts and training to do art sessions with churches/groups

  • Marriage and Family conference—sharing how the Lord is working in our marriage day to day

  • This summer the Lord is leading us in several projects that all fall under the umbrella of Active Impact:

    • May 30th: Partnership with First Baptist Church Paris (TN) to do a basketball outreach for the community in a local park (basketball clinics for various age groups)

    • June 1-5: Partnering through Providence (Clinton, MS) with a local church in Dalton (GA) to do a week-long sports outreach/VBS camp (basketball and soccer)

    • June 19-26: Partnering with Christ Covenant School (Ridgeland, MS) boys varsity basketball team going to Guatemala: outreach through games and basketball clinics

    • July 7: Biblical Worldview Conference @ Hartfield Academy. We are sponsoring this conference with various speakers for educators and administrators in mind (they will be able to earn CEUs)

    • July 9: Basketball Coach Clinic @ Laurel Christian School. We have several college coaches coming to give high school coaches their insights.

    • July 13-15: Partnering with LCS for a Basketball Camp for rising 2nd-6th graders @ LCS Gym. This is open to LCS families and communities. All proceeds from this camp will go toward our costs for Guatemala Mission Trip

    • July 16: Tentatively we are planning for Learn More about Active Impact Dinner to be held at West Laurel Baptist Church @ 6:30pm. We are going to share about the ministry of Active Impact and have those who have been part of this ministry share. Working on getting tables sponsored so people can come have dinner and learn more about us

    • July 19-26: Partnering with Summerland Baptist Church (MS) to go to Guatemala for VBS outreach and a construction project.

    • May 22 and June/July: Open Gym for 9th and up @ *West Laurel Baptist Church Gym. Our plan is to have several more throughout the summer in June and July.

    • July 26-August 2: Montana Vision Trip—Kim is going to Montana with the Jones Baptist County Association to do outreach. She is also going to meet to see how Active can possibly be used for other projects to reach the community (it is an area with very few evangelical churches).

      • July 25 - August 2

      • Kim will be going to MT to work with a group doing church improvement and Fair ministry

      • Checking on possible sports team outreach for next summer

As we step out in faith, we need your prayers and support to make this mission possible.

🙏 Prayer: Please pray for wisdom, provision, and the impact of this ministry. Pray for partnership opportunities and as we plan for the 2026 year. Pray that the Gospel is shared and that God is glorified!

  • As we plan for the year—we have some great opportunities nationally and internationally with our basketball ministry–pray for these partnerships and that God is glorified. In addition the funds, staff, and volunteers needed.


💰 Financial Support: Active Impact International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we are raising financial support to launch this as a full-time ministry. Financial contributions will allow us to plan effectively. Our goal is to raise financial support for us to get started and continue to grow the ministry as the Lord leads–Lord willing, go full time. At this time we realize this will  be as Paul a “tent ministry”--we will work and do Active Impact, until, Lord willing, Active Impact can be done full time. We realize this is all in the Lord’s timing. How the funds are being used:

  • To implement projects that we can that are based on our mission/vision while not being full time

  • My goal is to raise support in order to go full time as the Lord leads
