Joe Cole (Athletic Mission/Vision Advisor)

Dr. Joe Cole has built a career on training students, coaches, and administrators on how to effectively impact others using sports. Dr. Cole serves as the Athletics Director at Hartfield Academy and has a deep desire to see the gospel of Christ shared through the global language of sports. Dr. Cole has served as the dean and professor of exercise science and sports administration in several universities including Tervecca Nazarene University, University of Southern Mississippi, and Western Kentucky, as well serving as the Athletics Director at Belhaven University and Bacone College in Oklahoma. A native of Missouri Joe and his wife Melissa live in Rankin County and have three children. Joe's sports mission opportunities have taken him around the glove to places including Argentina, Honduras, Taiwan, India, Guatemala, El Salvador, Jamaica, Romania, and Guyana. 


Barb Martin, LMFT,LPC (Counseling Advisor)

Barb is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as, a LMFT & LPC approved supervisor. Barb serves as the Clinical Coordinator of the Marriage & Family Therapy and Counseling Clinic at Reformed Theological Seminary, where she also is an adjunct professor. She teaches play therapy and works with parents using a relationship based model of therapy. Additionally, Barb has a private practice in which she works with couples, families, and individuals.  Barb and her husband Hal reside in Clinton, MS and have three adult sons. 


JD SHAW (Missions & Programs Advisor)

JD is the senior pastor at Grace Bible Church in Oxford, MS. He  has an M.DIV from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He  served at two churches prior to moving to Oxford in 2011.  JD is a native of Kosciusko,MS and has a degree from Mississippi State University and Ole Miss law school. JD and his wife Mimi have four children.
